SCIOTO COUNTY, OH -

It's not often you get to see a 74-year-old get a gold medal.

But for one Scioto County woman, it happened. Meet Nadine Carver. She just competed in the National Senior Games for the third time. But it gets better - not only did Nadine qualify for the finals - she got the bronze medal for the triple jump and the gold medal in the high jump.

Nadine tells 13News she feels so fortunate to be a part of an event like this because it means she is still physically able to run and jump and compete. She also tells us she feels very inspired because there are people up to 100-years-old still competing and she say that is a very big deal.

Congratulations to Nadine.
