HUNTINGTON, WV -

A Texas man is facing jail time after threatening a police officer Saturday, July 27.

James Leroy Rush, 32, of El Paso, Texas, was arrested for disorderly conduct and was being transported to Western Regional Jail when he made threats to the transporting officer, according to court documents.

Court reports say Rush said when he got out of jail "he was going to get his boys together and find and kill" the officer. While housed in the jail Rush continued to make threats towards the officer.  Everything Rush said is on record at Western Regional Jail.

Rush continues to be in custody facing up to 10 years in prison and fines.
