Are you topping for red lights? Area police are watching to make sure you do.

It's part of the 2013 Target Red Campaign. From now until Mid-August, extra patrols will be set up at problem intersections. They will be watching for people who run red lights.

Officers will also look for anyone who does not clear the intersection before the light turns red. If it is yellow, they said it does not mean speed up.  Any car that is in an intersection when the light turns red will be cited.

Target Red started in Beckley in 2008. It is now funded across the state by the Governor's Highway Safety Program.
