Charleston Mayor's son, co-defendant plead guilty in drug case

Posted: Updated:

Zachary Jones, son of Charleston Mayor Danny Jones, pleaded guilty Monday to possession of cocaine.

The junior Jones and a co-defendant in the drug case, Moldavian Harris, appeared in Kanawha Circuit Court. Harris also pleaded guilty to possession.

Police arrested the two in March, after their car was pulled over speeding. They were originally charged with possession with the intent to deliver.

Sentencing in the case has been set for Sept. 18.
