Chapmanville Police arrested a Preston County man after a traffic stop around 6 PM Friday.

According to police they pulled over a 1993 Honda Accord along U.S. 119  for speeding. As police approached the car they noticed a female passenger reaching around and moving from one side to the other of the vehicle and appeared nervous during questioning.

Both individuals stated they were traveling to visit the passengers mother for lunch and to let her see their child.

After speaking to both individuals police felt the story didn't match up, and requested a K-9 unit from the Logan County Sheriff Department.

After searching the vehicle police found a small USPS flat rate package containing 42 gram of crack cocaine that was located under the front passenger seat.

Police then arrested and charged the driver Juan Carlos Sanchez with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.

Sanchez was taken to the Southwestern Regional Jail.

The Chapmanville Police Department and the Logan County Sheriff's Department is investigating.
