Ohio Highway Patrol says the accident happened around 7:30 a.m. this morning on U.S. 33 in Athens County.

According to reports, the teen driver killed in the accident has been identified as Kendall D. Sweany, 17, of McArthur Ohio. Sweany was driving a Scion TC and had stopped the vehicle along Highway 33. There was one passenger inside his vehicle at the time of the accident.  She has been identified as Ashley N. His vehicle was struck by Miller's vehicle, a Ford Ranger. After the crash occurred, both vehicles traveled off the roadway and into the grass median.
