CHARLESTON, WV (AP) — More than $642,000 in federal funds is being made available to help two West Virginia firms enroll uninsured individuals into health insurance coverage.

Federal health officials say Advanced Patient Advocacy of Charleston and West Virginia Parent Training and Information of Clarksburg were awarded the funds to be "marketplace navigators."

Officials say the "navigators" will serve as an in-person resource for those who want additional help shopping for and enrolling in insurance plans beginning this fall.

They will help consumers understand their coverage options, determine their eligibility, and enroll in new health insurance options.
