    Nine Martinsburg, West Virginia, residents and another from Keyser were sentenced to federal prison for breaking the law while they were on supervised release or probation.

The Robert C. Byrd Institute for Advanced Flexible Manufacturing will host a new business workshop that focuses on the needs of innovation and technology-based companies.

The West Virginia Small Business Development Center will present the Product Development/Technology Commercialization workshop from 1-3:30 p.m. Aug. 22 at the RCBI Advanced Manufacturing Technology Center in South Charleston.

The workshop is part of the WVSBDC Innovation and Technology, or In-Tech, program.

In-Tech assists inventors and technology-based entrepreneurs in creating and taking to market new or innovative products. The workshop will introduce participants to key commercialization issues such as intellectual property, alternative finance, prototyping and feasibility.
