Posted: Updated:

The Kenova Department of Public Safety is looking for a 1985 Ford Cargo Van in connection with a possible attempted kidnapping. Police say a 10-year-old male victim reported an attempted kidnapping in the 1600 block of Poplar Street in Kenova on Saturday around 1 p.m.

The van may now be spray painted black and the original paint is reported to be bleeding through the spray paint. Police also say there is a dent on the driver's side front quarter-panel and a dent on the passenger side rear quarter panel in front of the wheel.

The driver of the van is a white male between the ages of 50 and 60 years old. He has a flat top hair cut and a long gray beard to his stomach. The passenger of the van is also a white male. He also has a chest-length beard and a barbed wire tattoo on one of his wrists.

The Kenova Department of Public Safety has two other incidents on file with a similar vehicle and occupant description. Anyone with information is asked to call the Kenova Department of Public Safety, 304-453-1281.
