Charleston nightclub comes under fire after weekend stabbing

A popular bar is in trouble again after a violent stabbing over the weekend in Charleston, WV.

Charleston police said Sebastian Williams was stabbed after a fight broke out at the Sky Lounge on Capitol Street Saturday night. The bar is no stranger to fights and violent activity. Local officials say they are fed up with these acts of violence.

"If it is not straightened up, they will have to change their name from the Sky Lounge to the Die Lounge because somebody is going to get killed," said Charleston Mayor Danny Jones.

Police said Williams was trying to leave the club when he was knocked to the ground and stabbed.  The victim went to Charleston Area Medical Center on his own, where he was treated and released.

Police said they are working with the Alcohol Beverage Control Administration to see whether or not the bar played any part in the stabbing over the weekend.  They are also still searching for suspects involved.

A popular bar is coming under fire after a violent stabbing over the weekend.

Charleston police said Sebastian Williams was stabbed in the back after a fight broke out at the Sky Lounge on Capitol Street on Saturday night.  Police said Williams was trying to leave the club when he was knocked to the ground and stabbed.

Williams went to Charleston Area Medical Center on his own. He was treated and released.

The Sky Lounge is no stranger to fights and violent activity. The bar had its liquor license temporarily suspended in September after three people were shot outside of the club.

Police said they are working with the Alcohol Beverage Control Administration to see whether or not the bar played any part in the stabbing over the weekend.
