CHARLESTON, WV -

"I can't wait just the hype of the game. It's going to be big game," said George Washington sophomore, Austin Henrich.

George Washington against South Charleston. South Charleston against George Washington. However you prefer it.

"I'm pretty excited for it. I can't wait to cheer on the Patriots," said George Washington sophomore, Madison Chandler.

"There's a lot of talk. You hear things about SC, what SC people say.  Friends connecting with friends. You hear a lot of trash talk," said George Washington sophomore, Delaney Ellis.

Add to the rivalry, the game is one of the two West Virginia high school football games in the state to be played on Thursday.

"It's going to be other people from schools watching us. It should be a good game," said Henrich.

There's no doubt the student body is ready, but in and around the stadium, there's still work that needs to be done.

"The field will be done. We're hoping the that the video board will be done. The workers at the concession stand have been working really hard. We have a good group up here get things done," said George Washington President of Football Boosters, Mike Mackey.

And with the addition of a Zul's Frozen Lemonade, all will be go for Thursday night.

"They serve at various events throughout the state. They serve at West Virginia games, Marshall games, down at the Civic Center, and Laidley [Field]. So we were also able to bring them on board. It gives another option for fans," said Mackey.
