CHARLESTON, WV -

UPDATE:

A man has been charged in connection with the stabbing of another man at a bus stop in Charleston, WV.

Police said Timothy Robinson got into a fight with Thomas Striker Tuesday night.  They said Robinson slammed the victim to the ground and cut him across the neck.

The victim suffered a large cut across his neck, police said.

Robinson has been charged with malicious wounding.

He's in the South Central Regional Jail.

Charleston police are on scene of a stabbing in Charleston this evening.

911 dispatchers in Kanawha County say the stabbing happened about 8:22 p.m. at the intersection of Tennessee Avenue and Randolph Street.  Two men had fought at the bus stop.

At least one person has been taken to the hospital to be treated for injuries to the neck and upper chest.  The suspect was detained by Charleston police at the scene. He was also injured in the fight but his injuries were minor.

Police do not have a motive for the stabbing at this time.  They are on scene investigating the incident.  We will bring you the latest on the investigation as details become available.
