CHARLESTON, WV -

Playoff baseball returned to Power Park in a big way Wednesday night.

Free tickets were given to all fans attending the playoff game.

"It's a big event. It's good that they are giving back to the community and it's drawing people out," said Power fan, Bryan Eskew.

Eskew and his son joined the crowd that lined up more than an hour before the gate opened to make sure they got a seat.

And that's not the only free thing fans got Wednesday night.  The first 1,500 fans were treated with the new t-shirts.

For the team, this is also a memorable time.

"When you get a chance to play in the postseason you never know how many chances you get and so with that being said it doesn't matter if it's A-ball, the big leagues or whatever. You realize what it took to get here and just play off that, " said West Virginia Power pitching coach, Jeff Johnson.

The WV Power making the playoffs gave the team and the fans something to be happy about.

"There's a lot of bad things going on, so hopefully this will brighten people's day," said Eskew.
