The third annual Children's Classic Golf Tournament is scheduled for Sept. 9 at Sugarwood Golf Club in Lavalette.

The tournament, which benefits the Hoops Family Children's Hospital at Cabell Huntington Hospital, will begin with a ceremony and check presentation at 12:45. The tournament's shotgun start is scheduled for 1 p.m.

The fundraiser has brought in more than $300,000 for the Hoops Family Children's Hospital since 2011.

The tournament's honorary starters, Ethan and Abigail McNeely will tee off to start the tournament, along with Cabell Huntington's mascot, Cabby the Koala.

Ethan, 7, is a former patient at CHH. He and his 10-year-old sister have helped to raise money and awareness for the children's hospital through their project, "Ethan's Toybox."
