HUNTINGTON, WV -

Several men and women were in Huntington, WV on Monday in peaceful protest of a potential air strike by the U.S. on Syria.

Protest organizer, Ethan Young, said the group is concerned about the possibility of entering another war.  Young says the protest, held outside City Hall on Fifth Avenue, was put together because of the immediacy of the situation.

"The vast majority of Americans disagree with starting a third war in the Middle East," Young said.

Regardless of the size of the protest, Young says it was time to get out and let everybody know that people can call there local congressmen and congresswomen to let their voice be heard.

"It's great, the amount of people that could show up at the last minute. It shows that we have members in our community that care about the welfare of our country and the welfare of our military personnel and the welfare of this world. It just gives me a strong feeling of solidarity," Young said.
