UPDATE:

According to the Associated Press and WOWK's affiliate KMOV of St. Louis, Missouri, The Federal Bureau of Investigation announced Wednesday that the suspect nicknamed the "I-55 Bandit" has turned himself in.

Andrew Maberry, 19 of O'Fallon, Illinois, turned himself in to the FBI in St. Louis less than 24 hours after police sought the public's help in identifying the suspect.  Maberry is being charged with one count of bank robbery after being involved in a robbery on July 2, 2013.

Maberry reportedly robbed 10 banks and attempted to rob two other banks in five different states, including Illinois, Missouri, Maryland, West Virginia, and Tennessee.

According to AP and KMOV, the FBI is continuing their investigation to see if Maberry is linked to other robberies.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation is searching for a man who they believe robbed banks in several states. 

The FBI believes the man may have robbed 10 banks and attempted to rob two others in five states.  The bank robberies happened in Illinois, Missouri, Maryland, West Virginia and Tennessee.

In most of the robberies, the suspect showed a note and implied he was armed but no one has been hurt during the crimes.  The amount of money taken has not been released.

The suspect is described as being in his mid-20s, between 6'0" and 6'3", with short brown or strawberry blond hair.  He gained the nickname "I-55 Bandit" because the banks he robbed in St. Louis were along Interstate 55.

The FBI is planning to use digital billboards close to the areas of the robberies to spread the suspect's photo.
