Students from four counties will gather in Charleston Sept. 16 for a Constitution Day event, according to a news release from the U.S. Attorney's office.

The Constitution Day, or Citizenship Day, event will take place at 10 a.m. in the Charleston Culture Center.

The event will host more than 250 students from Cabell, Kanawha, Roane and Raleigh counties, according to the news release. Students will play musical selections and participate in a mock Legislature.

According to the news release, Constitution Day honors the creation and signing of the U.S. Constitution. The Sept. 16 event is presented in conjunction with the National Constitution Week observance.

U.S. Attorney Booth Goodwin will deliver the keynote address for the Sept. 16 event.
