Sign Company Takes On Cyberbullying
BROOKLYN, N.Y., Sept. 16, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- MySecuritySign launched #TakeNoBullies, a campaign to help eliminate cyberbullying and promote digital citizenship. MySecuritySign is part of the SmartSign family, an ecommerce company that creates signs, labels, tags, and mats, including bully free school zone signs.
The company created a series of ten original anti-bullying buttons and stickers. The designs imitate the looks of popular social networking sites such as Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Google+, Tumblr, and Twitter.
"The #TakeNoBullies movement impressed me from the moment I heard about it. They've got snappy, catchy designs and kids can relate to their uplifting phrases," stated Sue Scheff, parenting and internet safety author. "I think it's important to have a unifying message throughout schools, churches, and communities in order to foster a safer and kinder experience on the internet. #TakeNoBullies stickers and buttons allow those organizations to rally under the same banner."
#TakeNoBullies partners include: Deana's Educational Theater, TalkEZY, and Submit* The Documentary: The Virtual Reality of Cyberbullying.
Mike Miles, Social Media Manager at SmartSign, said, "Since the younger generation is becoming more and more digitally connected, we're dedicated as an organization to work towards a safer online experience. We've been fortunate enough to support over 10 schools and organizations with #TakeNoBullies stickers and buttons."
