Police say a man is in jail for calling in bomb threats at the Walmart in Beckley.

Beckley Police responded to five incidents between Sept. 11 and Sept. 17.  Police said that based on information and evidence, Travis Persinger, 26, of Fayetteville is being charged with three of those incidents. He faces three counts of false reporting of an explosive device.

Persinger was arraigned Saturday night.  According to the Raleigh County Prosecuting Attorney's office, a preliminary hearing date has not been set yet.  He faces one to three years in jail.

Police said they are not sure if he's connected to other recent threats made at the McDonalds and KFC, both in Beaver.
