GALLIA COUNTY, OH -

Two men are facing charges after deputies say they stole another man's money and led them on a brief chase in Gallia County, OH.

Deputies with the Gallia County Sheriff's Office say Lacey Jose Wolford, 29, of Vinton, was charged with robbery and Matthew Depue, 28, also of Vinton, was charged with complicity to robbery.

Deputies say they received a call about a man who had $175 stolen from him at the Korner Store parking lot in Bidwell just after 10 p.m. Tuesday.  While police were speaking to the victim, the suspect who stole the cash drove by.  Deputies say they ended up in a pursuit going west on State Route 554 that ended in the middle of the road on Market Street in Bidwell.  Deputies searched the vehicle, being driven by Depue, and found marijuana, drug paraphernalia and $41 cash.

Deputies say the victim told them Wolford asked for a few dollars and when he went to get the money for him, Wolford grabbed all of the man's money.  Wolford and Depue were taken to the Gallia County Jail.
