Hundreds enjoy the 8th Annual Autumn Fest in Princeton

The 8th Annual Fall Celebration in downtown Princeton was a day long, fun-for-the-entire-family event packed with music, children's activities, food, vendors and classic car show.

"Are you having a good time? Yeah! Why are you having such a good time? Because it's really fun!"

It's also a great venue for small businesses to proudly display their products and meet potential clients.

"Just to let everybody see what I have in the store so I can keep it open. It's tough but I'm proud of it," said Cindy Dalton, owner of Gingerbread House.

"It's a great way to meet clients because a lot of people haven't heard of 31 and it's a Christian based company started to help encourage and reward women," said Lindsay Gum, 31 Independent Consultant.

"We are trying to meet the public and get started with our toy drive for Christmas. We want them to do something for us or for someone to make sure all kids have something for Christmas," said David Harvey of Ghostriders.

People told 59News how they think Autumn Fest will help bring a positive vibe to Mercer Street and Princeton.

"Yes I do. Mercer Street has been given a bad rap over the years," said Princeton resident Amanda Mills.

"I think it'd be better if we had somewhere in Princeton where you didn't have to worry about something bad happen to you," said Brock Hess, a senior at Princeton High School.

"Mercer Street has a bad rap because most of the businesses aren't here anymore, having more things like Autumn Fest brings most positively to Princeton and if we had more things like it I think people would look at it as more of a positive town," Gum said.

Autumnfest is an annual festival hosted by the Princeton Mercer County Chamber of Commerce. Learn more about it at http://www.pmccc.com/autumnfest
