Suspect on the loose following Poca Valley Bank robbery; description released

Law enforcement on the scene of a bank robbery in Poca, WV say they used a helicopter and boats to search for the suspect.

Police say a man entered the bank about 12:35 p.m. today and handed the teller a note demanding money.  The man left with an unknown amount of money and fled in an unknown direction.  No injuries were reported. 

After reviewing surveillance video deputies say the man was wearing a wig and fake mustache during the robbery.  He was described as about 5'5", weighing about 150 pounds and wearing a white button up and black pants.

The Winfield detachment of the West Virginia State Police is handling the investigation.

The robbery was reported at Poca Valley Bank about 1:12 p.m.  According to dispatchers, the West Virginia State Police and Putnam County Sheriff's deputies are in the area.
