UPDATE: North lanes reopen after crash on I-77 at Goldtown, WV



The north lanes of I-77 reopened just after 10:30 p.m. according to West Virginia 511. The south lanes remained closed after a crash on the interstate at the Goldtown exit in Jackson County earlier in the evening.



A crash Friday night on Interstate 77 in Jackson County, WV closed all north and south lanes. The accident happened just before 10 p.m. at milemarker 120, the Goldtown exit according to the Jackson County Sheriff's Department.

West Virginia 511 reported both north and south lanes were closed on Friday night as emergency crews and investigators responded to the scene. Details were scarce but dispatchers said a medical helicopter had been called to the scene.

The Jackson County Sheriff's Department is investigating. Troopers with the WV State Police were also at the scene according to dispatchers.
