MARTINSBURG, WV (AP) -

A Martinsburg attorney's law license has been suspended again.

The West Virginia Supreme Court gave Michael Santa Barbara a three-month license suspension on Friday. In its order, the court cited ethical violations stemming from a gun-related incident.

The suspension was effective July 9. That's when an unrelated one-year suspension was completed.

Santa Barbara pleaded no contest in April 2012 to misdemeanor charges of brandishing and carrying a concealed weapon without a permit. He was accused of threatening a group of partygoers with a gun at a boat dock near his home.

The Supreme Court's order says Santa Barbara's license was suspended in 2012 for violating rules of professional conduct. The violations stemmed from complaints filed by former clients and the Office of Disciplinary Counsel.
