CHARLESTON, WV (AP) -

Fifty-four people from 24 countries will become U.S. citizens Monday, Oct. 7 during a ceremony in Charleston.

The naturalization ceremony is scheduled for 10 a.m. at the Robert C. Byrd Federal Courthouse.

U.S. District Judge Joseph R. Goodwin will preside over the ceremony. West Virginia State University President Brian Hemphill is the guest speaker.
