HUNTINGTON, WV -

In recognition of World Habitat Day, the Huntington Area Habitat for Humanity kicked off the Bankers and Brokers build.

This build is a little different than most, it's a refab project. Chase bank donated the property to Habitat for Humanity, and today they started tearing out the inside. The property on Norway Avenue will be the future home of Tyrone and Tamica Nelson and their five children and one granddaughter.

Tyrone says that this will give them a lot more space than the three bedroom apartment they now live in. "Now I'm getting blessed with a five bedroom, two and a half bath and it's going to help out with the spacing and the atmosphere. Maybe it'll be better for my kids," Nelson said.

This is the first rehab project Huntington Area Habitat for Humanity has had in several years, the Nelson's will help with the reconstruction.
