CHARLESTON, WV -

The woman at the center of a missing persons case in Kanawha County, WV will be in court on Thursday.

Kelsey Legg is scheduled for a preliminary hearing in Kanawha County Magistrate Court at 1:30 p.m.

The preliminary hearing is important because a judge will decide whether or not there's substantial evidence against her to hold a trial. If he finds substantial evidence, the case will be bound over to a grand jury.

Legg has been charged with first degree murder and kidnapping in the death of Kareem Hunter, whose body still not been found. Hunter has been missing since September 23.

Legg turned herself in to police on Saturday. Just last week, detectives executed a search warrant at Legg's apartment in Marmet.

Investigators said they found blood inside of the apartment. A witness also told them saw people remove Hunter's body from the apartment and place it in a trunk last month, detectives said.

Hunter's family say they plan to attend the hearing.
