Thousands of pumpkins delivered to Kenova Pumpkin House

The leaves aren't the only things turning orange in Kenova this year.  The back yard of Mayor Ric Griffith's is also, as thousands of pumpkins fill the entire area.

The pumpkins were delivered this week to be carved and lit up at the annual Pumpkin House display. The attraction draws thousands of visitors from all over each year.

Nearly three thousand pumpkins of all shapes and sizes will light up the front and back yards, as well as some on the roof.  Most of the larger pumpkins were harvested locally, while the rest came from out of state.

Griffith says new attractions this year include a giant inflatable Grim reaper, and a selection of interactive pumpkins people can play musical notes on by touching them using a computer program.

He says people are welcome to bring a carved pumpkin of their own and he will try to find a place for them.
