An early morning accident involving a stolen vehicle caused damage to power lines resulting in power outages in Dunbar, WV

Dunbar police said a white Ford truck was traveling on 10th Street when it hit a power pole.  The damage to the power pole caused power outages in the area.

The driver of the truck was seen leaving the accident, police said.  He has not been located.  While officers were on scene, they discovered the truck was stolen.

The accident is under investigation.

AEP is working on the power lines and only one lane of southbound traffic is open during the repairs.  Traffic signals are expected to be fixed by 1 p.m. in the area of Myers Ave. and 10th Street.  Police are urging drivers to use caution in the area.
