Prosecutor: No crime in 300 texts from teacher in Covington, KY

COVINGTON, Ky. (AP) - A prosecutor in northern Kentucky says a high school teacher who sent more than 300 text messages to a student may have been inappropriate, but it wasn't criminal behavior.

Kenton County Commonwealth Attorney Rob Sanders told WAVE-TV in Louisville (http://bit.ly/1gezfCD ) that former Holmes High School band director Jared Murray and a 15-year-old student partook in disturbing behavior over a nine-day period. But, Sanders says, a review of the 690 messages sent during that time shows there were no violations.
About 350 of the messages were from Murray to the student; 340 from the student to Murray.
In them, Murray tells the student he loves her 11 times including "night baby, love you" and "love you sweetheart."
Murray said the messages were taken out of context and the relationship wasn't sexual.
