    West Virginia State University has selected Kumara L. Jayasuriya as provost and vice president for academic affairs following a nationwide search. His appointment takes effect July 1.

CHARLESTON, WV -

Timothy R. Linkous, managing member of the Morgantown office of Shuman, McCuskey and Slicer, has obtained the AV Preeminent rating from Martindale Hubbell, which signifies that peers rank him at the highest level of legal ability and ethical standards.

He holds a bachelor's degree from Denison University, where he majored in political science and education. He graduated 15th in his class from West Virginia University College of Law. 

He focuses on the field of medical malpractice, representing hospitals, physicians and other service providers throughout West Virginia and Virginia. He also represents companies and government agencies in cases involving catastrophic loss, wrongful death and civil rights litigation.

Shuman, McCuskey and Slicer has offices in Charleston and Morgantown.
