HUNTINGTON, WV -

The Mountwest Foundation, the entity that supports Mountwest Community & Technical College, has elected five new members to its 15-member board of directors.

Milton resident David Horst — founding partner of Medical Innovations Co. and an adjunct faculty member for Mountwest — began a three-year term in July, as did Thomas McChesney of Huntington, the director of marketing & business development for Huddleston Bolen; Floyd Metzger of Huntington, the chief executive officer of HIMG; Russ Rucker III of Huntington, the president of Rucker, Billups & Fowler Inc.; and Troy Thomas of Prichard, the general manager of Allevard-Sogefi USA Inc.

According to the foundation, its board members work to provide financial support for the college to "enhance the quality of education in order to further the careers of Mountwest Community & Technical College students."

Bob Childers serves as president of the Mountwest Foundation board.
