UPDATE: Arrest warrants issued after fire caused by meth lab sends 1 to the hospital

UPDATE:

Kanawha County Sheriff's Deputies obtained warrants on Monday night charging Gregory William Young, 31, and Maria Rosalyn Young, 28, with operating a clandestine meth laboratory. Both were residents of the apartment where the fire began according to investigators.

As a result of the fire the building was condemned according to a news release from the Kanawha County Sheriff's Department.

This morning, a fire sent one person to the hospital in Rand, WV.

According to officials on the scene, one person was transported to the hospital for smoke inhalation.  Firefighters also recovered a dog from the fire.  The condition of the person and the pet have not been released.

An official at the scene said the fire was most likely caused by a one-pot meth lab.  The fire was reported about 8 a.m.

The Rand and Malden volunteer fire departments. and the Kanawha County Sheriff's office responded to the scene.
