All lanes of Interstate 64 opened back up at about 5:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 27.
A teenager was involved in a DUI related accident Monday morning in Kanawha County, WV according to troopers.
The accident happened just after 5 a.m. on Paint Creek Road,
Troopers said 19-year-old Christopher Hancock was drunk when he lost control of his car and landed in a ditch.
First responders were able to save Hancock from his trapped car. He suffered non-life threatening injuries and was taken to Montgomery General Hospital.
Hancock is facing DUI related charges once he's released from the hospital, troopers said.
Traffic was backed up in the area for an hour before a tow truck removed the car from the ditch.
