BARBOURSVILLE, W.Va. (AP) - A December trial is set for a former First State Bank executive accused of bank fraud and misappropriation of bank funds.

A federal indictment says 33-year-old Jackie Cantley forged the signature of a cousin who was in prison on loan-related documents, along with the signatures of others. He also is accused of approving loans to borrowers who didn't qualify.

The indictment says Cantley formerly was a vice president of First State Bank's branch in Barboursville. He resigned from the bank after it began an internal review of loans he'd authorized.

The Herald-Dispatch (http://bit.ly/1a6WZ6j ) reports that Cantley's trial is scheduled to begin Dec. 17.
