HUNTINGTON, WV -

After weeks of off-season workouts, basketball in Canada and preseason camp, Marshall's men's basketball team is set to tip-off the regular season. They open play Monday, Oct. 28 against Concord University.

The Thundering Herd are looking to improve upon a 13-19 season from a year ago.

"We have a more serious mood. We still might joke around occasionally, but the season is here so we have to focus in and grind out," said Marshall redshirt freshman, Ryan Taylor.

"We know we have to get prepared to win games, so we just get better everyday and get prepared," said Marshall sophomore, Chris Thomas.

After the exhibition game against Concord, the Thundering Herd open their regular season Nov. 8 against South Carolina State.
