A trial date has been set for a man charged in the 1974 slayings of three people in Fairmont.

Media outlets report a judge this week set Eddie Jack Washington's trial for Nov. 18 in Marion County Circuit Court on three first-degree murder counts and a conspiracy count.

He's accused of killing 20-year-old Lester Phillips, 19-year-old Wanda Jane Phillips and 27-year-old Billy Ray Cobb at Windmill Park.

Washington was arrested Feb. 7 in Tampa, Fla., where he'd been living for more than a decade.

A co-defendant, Phillip Reese Bush, also awaits trial. Bush is serving life sentences at Mount Olive Correctional Complex for two first-degree murder convictions in Ohio County.
