ATHENS, OH -

A man is facing drug charges after officers found heroin in his car in Athens, OH.

Officers with the Ohio State Highway Patrol in Athens say Jerry Lee Aspell, Jr., 28, of Logan, is facing drug charges after five grams of heroin was found in his vehicle Saturday just before 11:45 p.m. Troopers say Aspell was pulled over for speeding on US 33 near Stimson Avenue.

The Athens County Sheriff's Office K-9 Unit also responded and deputies say their dog, Dolly, indicated there were drugs present.  Aspell was taken to the Southeastern Ohio Regional Jail. Troopers say two others were in the vehicle and are facing misdemeanor drug charges.
