Marshall University's football team to play five games in 29 days

The Thundering Herd football team starts a span of playing five games and 29 days.

The first of those five games begins this Saturday when Southern Mississippi University comes to town. That's followed by another Saturday home game.  After that their last three games will be played on a Thursday, Saturday and Friday.

With the amount of games played in the short period of time, head coach Doc Holliday says it's even more important for guys on the team to take care of their body.

"The kids will have to do a great job taking care of themselves off the field and eating right and getting their proper rest. When you squeeze that many games in that amount of time, fatigue and everything can become a factor."
