Let's be honest – what we're expected to see in terms of our state budget over the next few years is not pretty. For a number of reasons, revenues are going to decline and spending is going to have to be cut.

Governor Tomblin has proven to be a wise steward of public money, but now it's time for the next step.

We need a holistic, overall view of what our budget is and determine the best way to move forward. In short, we need a better bang for our buck.

Sometime our political leaders forget that this is our money and a vital part of their job is financial responsibility.
