CHARLESTON, WV -

What began as a cough and labored breathing turned into the unimaginable for a Charleston, WV family. Doctors discovered after many tests that 12 year old Jay Wessels' heart was not beating properly, but there are many questions left unanswered.

On October 30,2013 he received a heart transplant at the Children's Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA.

Community members, family, and friends are all rallying behind this brave young man through the J Strong campaign.

You can help by making a donation to Mountain Mission, or sponsor a Jeans for Jay Day where you are employed. Coworkers can donate $5 for the privilege of wearing jeans to work.

You can even write messages to Jay and his family on the Facebook page or post pictures with a sign that says J Strong.
