UPDATE: Man dies from injuries following fire in Man, WV

UPDATE:

A man injured during a fire in Man, WV died on Nov. 7 in Cabell Huntington Hospital.

George Hatfield, 87, was injured during a fire on Nov. 3.  His daughter was also severely injured during the fire and remains in the hospital.

Investigators believe the fire was started by a cigarette.  Investigators did not find smoke detectors in the home.

UPDATE:

The two people injured in a structure fire in Man, WV have been taken to the Cabell Huntington Hospital's burn unit to be treated. The exact cause of the fire has still not been determined at this time.

Man Volunteer Fire Department responded to reports of a structure fire just after 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 3, 2013.

The fire broke out in the 400 block of Main Street.

911 dispatchers tell wowktv.com there were 2 people injured as a result of the blaze. The two individuals were airlifted from the scene.

The fire appears to be under control. There is now word yet on what started the fire.
