Fire in Marlinton, WV destroys businesses and changes lives

Firefighters from the Marlinton, WV Volunteer Fire Department are still on scene of a massive fire that started early Sunday morning November 10, 2013. Flame engulfed four buildings in downtown Marlinton in total. 

The fire began at around 2:30 a.m. Sunday morning. 

10 fire departments in all have been on the scene to try and contain the blaze and battle flare-up that may arise throughout the day. 

The buildings, which were brick and masonry, held apartments and businesses. Fire officials tell WOWK that no one was injured in the blaze.

Firefighters are on the scene of a structure along 8Th St in downtown Marlinton WV.

According to dispatchers Three building are reported to be fully involved.
