WESTON, WV -

A weekend of ballroom and Latin dancing is on tap at Stonewall Resort Nov. 22-24 with two days of dance instruction, camaraderie and great music.

"The weekend is geared both towards couples who have never tried ballroom and Latin dancing before, but who wish to now do so in a friendly, non-competitive setting, and also those who are more experienced but are looking to refine their skills," said dance professional and president of WV Dance, Craig Giffin.

The weekend begins Nov. 22 with evening lessons in Rumba for both beginner and intermediate dancers and a dance party featuring all different forms of both Latin and ballroom dances. Saturday activities include dance lessons in Nightclub Two Step and Ballad, as well as an evening dance.

Steve Ludwig, director of sales and marketing at Stonewall Resort, said, visitors from as far away as North Carolina continue to come back for the dance weekends.

"We find that these weekends are an enjoyable getaway for people," he said. "The resort offers many great amenities for our guests, including wonderful restaurants and spa facilities."

The weekend package cost is $349.99 per couple and includes all dance instruction, overnight lodging on Friday and Saturday nights and breakfast on Saturday and Sunday mornings.

The dance weekend is designed for couples. Guests are encouraged to wear shoes with either a leather or suede sole to facilitate ease of movement.
