A woman at the center of a murder case in Kanawha County, WV will appear in court for a hair samples hearing on Tuesday.

Prosecutors have filed a motion to collect hair samples from Kelsey Legg. Legg has been charged with first-degree murder in the death of Kareem Hunter. Hunter disappeared from Charleston on September 23.  His body was found buried in Raleigh County on Oct. 31.

Authorities said they found hair on duct tape that was wrapped around the victim. Prosecutors filed a motion with Judge Paul Zakaib to allow them to test Legg's hair and see if it matches the hair on the duct tape.

Legg is the only person who has been charged in Hunter's murder. She was arrested in October after authorities served a search warrant on her Marmet apartment. Inside, they found large amounts of blood. Investigators believe she tried to cover it up by putting down new carpet and painting the walls, they said.

Legg is accused of luring Hunter to her apartment the night he disappeared in September. Authorities believe he was murdered inside her apartment that same night.

Five weeks after Hunter disappeared, two people found Hunter's body buried on a piece of property in Raleigh County, about 60 miles from Charleston.

Detectives have been tight lipped about the involvement of other people in Hunter's murder.

Legg's hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. in front of Kanawha County Circuit Judge Paul Zakaib.
