HUNTINGTON, WV -

A local business owner is helping schools by giving them a slice of support.

Backyard Pizza & Raw Bar owner, Drew Hetzer, says it is important for the community to help students stay in school and graduate. It's all part of an initiative called Communities in Schools. The goal is to surround students with a community of support and to empower them with what they need to be successful in life.

Backyard Pizza is making a donation to Communities In Schools of Ca bell County for every pizza purchased this Saturday. We asked Hetzer why it is so important for his business to be involved. "We always like to give back because the community has given so much to us as a local restaurant and establishment. We opened up just over a year ago and it's been a dream of mine just to be able to pursue that goal and our own personal goals."

You can get involved and show your support by going to Backyard Pizza & Raw Bar at 841 4th Avenue on Saturday, Nov. 23, from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM.
