CHARLESTON, WV -

The Thundering Herd went just 8 of 24 from the free throw line Thursday, Nov. 21 as they fell 80-73 in overtime against Stephen F. Austin. Marshall's Elijah Pittman finished with a team high 21 points, but just went 1 of 8 from the free throw line.

With Marshall leading 67-64,  TyQuane Goard fouled the Stephen F Austin's Desmond Haymon with .7 seconds remaining as he attempted at three point shot. Haymon made all three free throws to send the game into overtime. This was the second straight overtime loss for the Herd.

Kareem Canty and Chris Thomas were the two other Marshall players to finish in double figures with 14 and 11 respectively.
