The Charleston staff of Dinsmore & Shohl has added a good cause to its annual pigskin playoff.

The Shohl Bowl will be played at 2 p.m. Nov. 24 at Coonskin Park Soccer Stadium, with the flag football game splitting staff members into two teams — blue and white. Each team has been asked to raise money for the Ronald McDonald House "Share a Night" campaign, with every $20 donated providing one free night at the Ronald McDonald House for families of children who receive medical treatment.

The Shohl Bowl goal is to provide at least 150 free nights for area families.

"We look at this as a great opportunity to have fun outside of the office and engage in some friendly competition," said John Hussell, Dinsore's Charleston office managing partner. "Partnering with the Ronald McDonald House to raise money for the ‘Share a Night' campaign makes it all the more enjoyable of an event."

Hussell plans to present a check to the executive director of the Ronald McDonald house before the game. BB&T Wealth Management has sponsored the game with a $1,000 donation.

The team that garners the most nights will win both bragging rights and a prize, and all participants will take part in a barbecue.
