    A long-time West Virginia State University associate professor and former Yellow Jacket football coach has been inducted into his high school's sports hall of fame.

CHARLESTON -

Cristy Swink is AT&T's new vice president and general manager and will manage mobility and consumer markets in the mid-Atlantic states of North Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia. 

Swink will oversee the sales and operations of more than 1,000 employees, more than 170 retail and dealer locations as well as national retail sales. She also will help guide wireless network deployment strategy.

Before her promotion, Swink was AT&T's assistant vice president of sales operations for the Southeast.

Swink began her wireless career in 1994, though her first experience in the industry came at 15 when she worked as a summer intern at BellSouth Mobility.
