UPDATE:

The West Virginia Medical Examiner's Office has positively identified the human remains found on December 6, 2013 as Brian Christopher Sexton Jr. 

The remains were identified through dental records.

The Medical Examiner said the remains did not appear to have been moved.  The remains showed signs that indicate they had been at that location since the time Sexton was reported missing.

The exact cause of death is unknown at this time pending toxicology results.

ORIGINAL:

The Putnam County Sheriff's Department located a body with the assistance of the FBI and a concerned citizen in the Scott Depot area on Friday evening.

Deputies say they believe the body is Chris Sexton, who has been missing since October 14.

The remains have been sent to the State Medical Examiner's office for identification.

Deputies say there are no signs of foul play.
